First Project!

Today in class students had a choice between a 2D and a 3D Mandela project. The project is to demonstrate symmetry, and rhythm.

Periods A 3/4 and A 7/8 chose the 2D project and A 5/6 chose the 3D version.

Each class was to bring a sketch of their Mandela so that we could dive right into the project.

It was stressed that this was to be a technical drawing using drawing tools, and student created templates to keep the spirit of symmetry in their work. For this project freehand constructions are being discouraged as we are working with angles and measurement with this assignment.

Some of the grading criteria was provided today and written on the board, but I will formally post this information on Thursday, and provide access to the Google Classroom rubric next Tuesday.
