Charcoal Still Life

Today we finished the three basic forms still life. Four different types of drawings were completed with this assignment:

  1. Hatching - Used to analyze value (done in pencil)
  2. Contour Drawing - Used to analyze value and establish the basic idea of the three forms. (done in pencil)
  3. Full charcoal value drawing of the three forms demonstrating the six different types of value.
  4. Cropped version of the three forms. This drawing must include a section of each form, and the six different types of value discussed in class.
Today we also started a large still life charcoal drawing. This was to be on a large piece of paper that measured at least 23" x 24". This drawing also needed to demonstrate the six different types of value to render each form.
