Pen and Ink - Still life

Today in 7th Grade we drew with Pen and Ink.

We viewed work by the German Artist, Albrecht Dürer, whose techniques we tried to emulate.

We used various types of lines to create value. Students used hatching, cross hatching, and contour hatching techniques to create value with a sphere and a rectangular prism that were used to create a still life.

For some students it was difficult to use the pen, as students kept getting various line thicknesses, and blobs of ink on their compositions. We will most likely have another go at this activity.
