Nano Puzzles

Today we went over in class the following presentation. Due to the shortened class, we will review this information when we reconvene on January 3rd.

I am adding to the presentation so it is a work in progress. Here is a sampling of what we covered:
  • 3D printing is a two step process:
    1. Create a 3D model using a CAD program - OnShape
    2. Slice the model using slicing software. - Cura
  • The type of filament that we will use in our 3D printer.
    • PLA - Polylactic acid
  • What .gcode (geometric code) is.
  • Working in 3-Dimensional Space i.e. the difference between 2D and 3D
  • Understanding planes and faces in a 3D environment

If you have not created an account on OnShape then you should do that before our next class!

Have a wonderful break!!!!
